The debut album of this project is preceded by two preview tracks, to be released both digitally and on 7” / 45 RPM vinyl.
The lead single, ‘Pushing’, is an explosive Nu-Disco track that fuses modern energy with vintage roots. Its production features warm, expressive keyboard tones rich in 70s and 80s Funk and Soul influences, all wrapped in a Disco-Pop vibe that makes it perfectly suited for radio play.
The track features a stellar vocal performance by Derane Obika of Living Sounds. A Londoner of Nigerian descent, Derane is not only an exceptional vocalist but also the songwriter behind both the melody and lyrics. The song unfolds like a dialogue between an imaginary narrator and their spiritual guide, navigating the labyrinth of life.
The B-side of the 45 features an exclusive instrumental version of ‘Back in the Underwater‘—a track that blends Hip-Pop grooves with cinematic atmospheres. (The vocal version, performed by Reiwa Pia, will be included on the full album.)
