SALVO BRUNO “DUB”  Born in Catania and raised in Nicolosi on the slopes of Mount Etna, Salvo Bruno began studying piano at an early age before transitioning to bass and double bass. In the mid-1990s, he discovered a passion for music created with synthesizers, samplers, and drum machines—an interest that led to numerous creative ventures and deep involvement in the electronic music scene.

In 2000, he enrolled in a hard disk recording course organized by the Youth Policies Department and the University of Catania. This marked the beginning of his permanent move to Catania, where he opened his own studio and launched his career as a beatmaker and composer. He has since initiated and nurtured several significant collaborations.

His first release came out on vinyl under Big Sur, a subsidiary label of Schema Records with the project Koom-H. He went on to work as a music producer for Persistence Beat (Berlin), Piranha Records (Berlin), and on the track “Beat It” by Double Beat (Milan).

In 2007, he founded the Babil on Suite project, serving as its composer, songwriter, and arranger. The group has released four albums and performed at some of the most prestigious music festivals in Sicily.

He is also the founder of Rigenera, an eco-festival that has reached its ninth edition since its inception in 2015. In addition, he co-manages Agorà Social Farm, a multi-functional agritourism center that hosts educational programs as well as music, theater, and cultural events.

In the world of film, he contributed to the soundtrack of Salviamo gli Elefanti, a documentary by Giovanna Brogna Sonnino. He also composed the original music for the award-winning web series Fratelli Noir and the documentary film Ti racconto tuo padre by Bracconeri, both directed by Daniele Gangemi.
