    “Vivid Colours” is his new musical project in collaboration with Milan-based label Space Echo (a rib of the well-known Schema Records). A hymn to love understood as a cosmic and spiritual force that transcends all physical, cultural and temporal barriers, celebrating the union between people in a universal concept, but despite its greatness, this universal love is not without contradictions and difficulties. Youthful couple issues emerge as an inevitable part of this quest for love: misunderstandings, betrayals, fears of not being enough or of being judged, the difficulty of finding a balance between individuality and complicity. But it is also these experiences that forge love, making it grow, enriching it, leading it to new forms of awareness.

    Sankofa Soul is a musical project born from the fusion of jazz, Afro traditions, and the search for a deep connection between the past and the present. The term “Sankofa” comes from the Akan language (spoken in Ghana) and means “to go back and fetch what is good” – an invitation to look to our past in order to better understand our future

    The original version of “Africa Calling” unfolds in a purely Afrocentric rhythm, weaving a rich sonic tapestry. Riccardo Onori’s guitar, clearly inspired by “Amalinja” — a 1972 gem by The Don Isaac Ezekiel Combination — dances fluidly with the celestial tones of Gambian kora master Haruna “Jalimansa” Kuyateh. The result is a hypnotic journey, steeped in mystery and magic.

    Producer Massimo Napoli, aka Galathea, reimagines the track in a second version that maintains the original structure but shifts the focus.

    Here, the meditative kora floats with a dreamlike quality, solitary and sublime above a backdrop of layered percussion, clavinet, and keyboards — painting an entirely new and enigmatic soundscape.

    Ancestral rhythms from Latin American cultures are recalled in an interplay of overlaps, while the synthetic piano adds a futuristic touch.     The lead single, ‘Pushing’, is an explosive Nu-Disco track that fuses modern energy with vintage roots. Its production features warm, expressive keyboard tones rich in 70s and 80s Funk and Soul influences, all wrapped in a Disco-Pop vibe that makes it perfectly suited for radio play.

    The track features a stellar vocal performance by Derane Obika of Living Sounds.
