“Le Isole” is the music project of record producer, musician, and DJ Luciano Cantone.
Originally from Catania, Sicily, he moved to Milan in 1984.
After working in the record industry as an Import Manager and A&R, in 1991 he founded Edizioni Ishtar/Schema Records, launching and developing the careers of artists such as Nicola Conte, Gerardo Frisina, S-Tone Inc., The Dining Rooms, Toco, Rosalia De Souza, Mario Biondi, The Invisible Session, and many others.
For Luciano, music has always been a cornerstone of his life—a deep passion.
Among the many genres he has explored and collected over the years, film soundtracks and library music hold a special place. Drawing inspiration from these, he began composing and performing music under the alias “Le Isole” for the newly formed label Space Echo.
